I extend heartfelt greetings on behalf of all the dedicated Brothers of the Nu Beta Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
We appreciate your interest in discovering more about our enduring mission, vision, and the driving purpose that has propelled our incredible 90 years of unwavering service to the Jacksonville, Florida community.
Our chapter stands as a beacon of hope and service, steadfastly aligned with our Fraternity's cherished motto: "Culture for Service and Service for Humanity."
At the heart of the Nu Beta Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., lies a mission that resonates through everything we do: to embody and propagate our Fraternity's foundational principles of
Brotherhood
Scholarship
Service
This mission manifests through comprehensive support and developmental services for our members; scholarship provisions and educational opportunities for our youth auxiliary, collegiate, and alumni brothers; and a hands-on approach to community service in the Jacksonville area, all through the lens of our Fraternity’s International Programs: Bigger & Better Business, Education, Social Action, and the Sigma Beta Club.
Our commitment to the Jacksonville area is brought to life through impactful programs and initiatives rooted in our four cardinal principles:
Our focus here is clear - to empower and uplift Black-owned enterprises across our region, providing them with the support and visibility they deserve.
Through various scholarship initiatives, we open doors for the bright young minds in our community, rewarding their academic dedication and ambition
This is our hands-on approach to change, exemplified by initiatives like recent participation in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of the First Coast event, the annual Clara White Mission’s “Feed the City” Thanksgiving luncheon, and ongoing educational projects addressing critical black male health issues, including prostate cancer.
Our mentorship program takes young men aged 8 – 18 under its wing, offering them a rich tapestry of experiences designed to shape them into informed, responsible citizens and scholars, all under the guiding light of Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service.
