Initiated in 1934, the Social Action program was the brainchild of Bro. Elmo M. Anderson, established with a vision to enhance the welfare of minority communities.
The mission of the International Social Action Program is to empower social, political, and philanthropic leadership that fortifies both our communities and our members by enlightening Fraternity members on pertinent health matters affecting them and their loved ones:
Amplifying presence and self-esteem through active service in the community.
Consolidating efforts that tackle political and community challenges, while heightening awareness of the legislative process.
Engaging members in fundraising endeavors that assist organizations aligned with our vision
Championing health consciousness to preempt health issues among our members.
Greetings,
At the heart of every significant societal movement lies a group of determined individuals driven by purpose and vision. Here, in the Nu Beta Sigma Chapter, our Social Action Committee is the embodiment of that spirit.
We believe in actively engaging with our community, in understanding its needs, and in developing programs and initiatives that not only address immediate concerns but also lay the groundwork for sustainable development and lasting change. Our fraternity's legacy, rich in acts of service, is something we cherish and aspire to uphold.
In these challenging times, it is crucial that we stand united, amplifying our efforts to ensure that the vulnerable are protected, the marginalized are heard, and that opportunities for growth are accessible to all. I am humbled and honored to lead this committee, and I am continuously inspired by the passion and dedication of our members.
I invite you to join us, collaborate with us, and be part of the impactful journey we are on. Together, let's drive change, one action at a
time.
Fraternally,
Bro. Martin Williams
